Common questions
Is this an original painting? It is uniquely original: a one-of-a-kind object finished by Mark’s hand, though not an original painting in the traditional sense. It is a digital-origin work completed as a unique object in the tradition of the monoprint: a repeatable image, finished by an unrepeatable hand. No two are alike.
What does “hand-embellished” mean? Archival clear gel painted by hand in raised, directional strokes over the printed painting. The full method is described in The Clear Impasto Technique.
What arrives with the canvas? The canvas (unframed, rolled in a heavy-duty tube), the signed Certificate of Authenticity with your piece’s number, and a personal note from Mark about this verse.
What happens when the One of One sells? It’s gone. The page stays, marked “In a private collection.” No second one is ever made.
