The identity verses in this room make powerful gifts for anyone doubting their worth.

About the Book of Ephesians

Ephesians is a letter Paul wrote from prison, and yet it soars. The first half tells believers who they are: chosen before the foundation of the world, accepted in the beloved, forgiven, made alive, seated in heavenly places, His workmanship created for good works.

The second half tells us how to walk in that identity, and it closes with the Armor of God: the belt of truth, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, and prayer always. Paul wrote about armor while chained to a soldier wearing it.

Mark Lawrence paints Ephesians for people who have forgotten who they are. An identity verse on the wall argues back every morning.

Questions people ask

What does Ephesians 2:10 mean? You are God's workmanship, His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works He prepared in advance. For anyone doubting their worth, it is the verse that settles the question, which is why this painting is so often given.

Is there Armor of God wall art here? Yes. Chapter six is painted piece by piece, including The Shield Of Faith, The Unseen Battle, Power Of His Might, and Always Pray. Together they make a powerful grouping for a hallway or a young man's room.

Which Ephesians painting encourages someone starting over? Ephesians 3:20, that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, hangs well over any new beginning.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith.” Ephesians 2:8
