Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians lifts Jesus as high as language goes: Creator, Deliverer, the One in whom all things hold together. 14 original paintings from Colossians are available today, including Colossians 1:27 The Hope Of Glory, Colossians 1:16 Your Creator, and Colossians 3:23 All Your Heart.

About the Book of Colossians

Paul wrote Colossians from prison to a church he had never met, because a rumor had reached him that they were being talked out of the sufficiency of Christ. His answer is one of the highest views of Jesus ever written: the image of the invisible God, Creator of all things, in whom all things hold together.

Then the letter walks downstairs into ordinary life: put on kindness, let the peace of God rule, let thankfulness reign, and whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord. Above all these things, put on love, the bond of perfectness.

Mark Lawrence paints Colossians for whole households: work, gratitude, and the Christ who holds it all together.

Questions people ask

What does Colossians 3:23 mean? Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not unto men. It turns every desk, kitchen, and workbench into an altar, which is why All Your Heart is a favorite for offices and workspaces.

Which Colossians verse fits a family home? Colossians 3:15 Let Thankfulness Rule for the kitchen or table, and Colossians 3:14 Love's Unbreakable Bond for the room where the family gathers.

What is the hope of glory? Colossians 1:27 says the mystery hidden for ages is now revealed: Christ in you, the hope of glory. Not a distant hope but a present One, which is exactly what the painting keeps saying from the wall.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Colossians 3:23
