Reflection

Too often, we're tempted to rely on our own strength. Planning every detail, trying to control outcomes, and stepping only when we feel safe. But Psalm 37:5 invites something deeper: surrender. To commit our way to God means laying down our maps, relinquishing control, and trusting His loving wisdom to guide us.

Think of a garden path winding through a forest, its destination hidden by trees and mist. You can choose to trace the path by sight alone, or you can follow the hand of someone who knows where it leads. The believer’s journey is like walking that path with the Shepherd. Step by step, trusting the trail even when you can’t yet see the clearing.

When we lay our plans before the Lord, big dreams, daily decisions, and deep fears. We open ourselves to a journey shaped by His love. Trust doesn’t erase uncertainty, but it transforms how we move through it.

God acts on behalf of those who trust and commit themselves to Him, aligning the path ahead with His purpose. Your faithfulness becomes a way for His faithfulness to shine through.

Father, I commit my way, my thoughts, plans, and my anxieties all to You. Help me follow Your lead today, even where I can’t see the end. Let my trust in You be a light on the path You have set before me. Amen.
